This work explores the mechanisms of milk production and processing through the study of the Pilot Dairy Project (PLP), examines the extent to which they contribute to local development in the Adamaoua region, and proposes ways to promote its heritage. Specifically, it analyses the process of industrialisation of the dairy sector in Adamaoua in the 1990s, influenced by the implementation of Structural Adjustment Programmes (SAPs). It also examines the possibilities for local development through activities carried out in this sector despite the closure of this company in 2002. This is why we have reviewed its impact in various areas, as the PLP not only succeeded in transforming the region's dairy landscape, but also led to the creation of hundreds of milk producer cooperatives in the region. In view of what has been achieved in terms of buildings and industrial facilities, which are now inactive, we propose, from a heritage perspective, an analysis of the heritage elements on both the artisanal and industrial sides, and we have made a proposal to promote this heritage through the creation of a Milk Interpretation Centre in Ngaoundéré.

Abstract
In view of what has been achieved in terms of buildings and industrial facilities, which are now inactive, we propose, from a heritage perspective, an analysis of the heritage elements on both the artisanal and industrial sides, and we have made a proposal to promote this heritage through the creation of a Milk Interpretation Centre in Ngaoundéré.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
