In the broad spectrum of Italian immigration to Argentina, the treatment of gender history remained on the margins of historiography until its reappraisal by some authors who have given it greater visibility in recent decades. This thesis has the twofold objective of delving into the theme of gender and at the same time of valuing the role that Italian women who emigrated to Argentina from the end of the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century, played in industry, in the transmission of cultural values and in the construction of a common heritage, both material and immaterial, that contributed to defining the Italian community in the South American country, representing a point of strength and reference in the social, economic, cultural and political dynamics that attributed values to a country in the making.

Abstract
In the broad spectrum of Italian immigration to Argentina, the treatment of gender history remained on the margins of historiography until its reappraisal by some authors who have given it greater visibility in recent decades. This thesis has the twofold objective of delving into the theme of gender and at the same time of valuing the role that Italian women who emigrated to Argentina from the end of the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century, played in industry, in the transmission of cultural values and in the construction of a common heritage, both material and immaterial, that contributed to defining the Italian community in the South American country, representing a point of strength and reference in the social, economic, cultural and political dynamics that attributed values to a country in the making.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
