Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial role in local economies but often lack the tools and resources to monitor and reduce their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. This thesis presents a simplified, user-friendly GHG accounting tool designed to support SMEs in understanding and tracking their carbon footprint. Developed within the framework of the DEESME and DEESMED projects, the tool facilitates initial climate action by offering a practical entry point for environmental management. Through case studies and real-world application in selected enterprises, the study evaluates the effectiveness, usability, and replicability of the tool. The findings highlight its potential to guide SMEs on a pathway toward low-carbon operations, while also identifying barriers and opportunities for broader implementation.

Abstract
The findings highlight its potential to guide SMEs on a pathway toward low-carbon operations, while also identifying barriers and opportunities for broader implementation.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
