This project work proposes a comparative analysis of journalistic narratives about vulnerable communities in the context of climate change in traditional and independent press, materializing the findings in an innovative editorial proposal through Retalhos magazine. Based on the analysis of 180 reports published between 2015 and 2024 in outletsrepresentative of both journalistic models, the aim is to understand how different news organizations influence the representation of these communities and their linguistic-cultural heritage. The methodology combines quantitative and qualitative analysis of narratives with the practical development of the magazine as a laboratory for journalistic experimentation. The results show significant differences between the approaches: while traditional journalism tends to frame communities in narratives of passive victimization, independent publications demonstrate a greater propensity to recognize their knowledge and protagonism. However, bothmodelspresent limitations in adequately representing these populations. Retalhos magazine emerges as a practical response to these limitations, proposing collaborative production processes that place communities at the center of narratives about climate change.
