With the rise of the internet, conducting daily activities online has become inevitable. Traditional verification methods like paper certificates, diplomas, and IDs have been replaced by digital ones since the traditional paper verification process requires high cost, a lot of time and work and there is a possibility of data loss. In today's digital world, individuals, governments, and business change their model to digital which makes daily activities easy, fast and more reliable. At present, user identity frameworks are limited, weak from the data portability point of view and ridden with privacy concerns. To overcome these problems, Verifiable Credentials have emerged. These credentials are created with the Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) paradigm and Decentralised Identifiers (DIDs) base. These systems are designed to make credentials safe, compatible, and user-centric. This study examines the developing ecosystem of verifiable credentials and how these standards are applied. Also, demonstrates a practical approach to SSI principles by designing a digital wallet prototype.

Abstract
Also, demonstrates a practical approach to SSI principles by designing a digital wallet prototype.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
