In the first chapter the concept of resilience and crisis will be analysed with a deeper focus on healthcare sector, and Covid-19 pandemic. In the second chapter, starting from the healthcare personnel crisis, the topic of workforce retention will be at the centre, analyzing its causes, consequences, and factors of influence in general and in the healthcare sector. The third and last chapter analyzes a research, conducted through intervieews to hospital personnel, about topics such as retention and turnover factors, perceptions, and technical aspects in relation to Covid-19 crisis. The research question that guides the last chapter is focused on how did the the healthcare workers' perceptions of the organizational changes influenced retention during and post Covid-19 pandemic. This last part of the dissertation is the result of the Gioia method appied to the interviews and its conclusions are supported by literature: the aim is to give theoretical contributions for future researches about resilience and retention, and practical contributions to policy makers or administrators of organizations and institutions.
