In recent years, the growing attention to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues has led companies to increasingly integrate sustainability into their strategic and operational decisions. This thesis explores how the digitalization of ESG data can serve as a driver for improving the sustainability of business processes and supply chains. The study combines a theoretical framework on sustainability and digital transformation with a practical analysis based on a real case study. The focus is a digitalization project for ESG data in a steel manufacturing company with the aim to elaborate a sustainability report, through SAP Sustainability Control Tower. The research includes an in-depth interview with the client company to assess the perceived benefits and challenges of the digital solution. The findings suggest that leveraging digital technologies to manage ESG data not only enhances internal process efficiency and transparency but also promotes more sustainable practices across the supply chain. The study concludes that ESG data digitalization represents a strategic asset for companies aiming to align performance with sustainability goals.

Abstract
The study concludes that ESG data digitalization represents a strategic asset for companies aiming to align performance with sustainability goals.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
