This thesis explores the application of Lean Thinking principles to the construction sector, with a specific focus on light steel frame (LSF) prefabrication. After a theoretical overview of Lean Construction, the work analyzes a real case study involving a small-sized company located in Northern Italy, specialized in turnkey prefabricated houses. Through customer value analysis, detailed process mapping, and identification of waste (muda), the study outlines a roadmap for implementing a lean transformation. The goal is to enhance continuous improvement culture, operational efficiency, product quality, and the company’s ability to respond to evolving housing needs in a standardized yet flexible way. The proposed approach integrates lean management, modular design, customer engagement, and process control into a practical model tailored to the residential construction market.

Abstract
The proposed approach integrates lean management, modular design, customer engagement, and process control into a practical model tailored to the residential construction market.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
