Sustainable supply chain management in the fashion industry faces persistent tensions between profitability, stakeholder expectations, and environmental and social objectives. Key challenges include the lack of standardized sustainability measures, resource and operational constraints, and the need to balance global strategies with local realities. This study examines the structural and strategic barriers to implementing sustainable practices, drawing on frameworks such as the Triple Bottom Line and Resource Dependence Theory. The Moncler case provides insights into how sustainability and performance can be aligned in complex global supply chains through strategies like supplier collaboration, ethical sourcing, and digital integration. The findings offer a deeper understanding of how companies can translate sustainability commitments into measurable outcomes while maintaining resilience and competitiveness. These insights may support broader industry efforts to align supply chain governance with long-term sustainability goals.
