This thesis examines the case of Growth Equity intervention focusing on value creation through B&B strategy performed by Private Equity Fund QuattroR, who acquired minority stakes in Italian excellence tomato processing company Casalasco S.p.A.. The target has been used as a platform and then consolidated through add-ons acquisition to enhance market position, geographic market expansion as well as portfolio brands and products offering increase. This thesis started by providing a wider scope overview on Private Equity industry to give context to this operation. Then, it provides a particolar insight on B&B strategy, especially focusing on Capital Growth intervention to analyze main value creation levers and usual strategies. Finally, financial and strategic analysis is performed to explore how QuattroR-Casalasco S.p.A. generate value for Private Equity investors, providing a thorough overview of the operation.
