This thesis aims to analyze the concept of connectivity between financial and non-financial information in the context of corporate reporting. The paper initially focuses on the theoretical definition of the concept, underlining its recent birth, and the role of ensuring consistency and completeness of information; In particular, the connectivity within the framework of Integrated Reporting is examined and the main setter standards (GRI, EFRAG, ISSB) are analysed. Subsequently, it is proposed to examine the academic literature that discusses this concept and evaluates its strengths and criticalities. Finally, a sample of enterprises is selected, and an empirical analysis is developed to understand in more detail the extent to which, in practice, enterprises are aware of the importance of this concept, how it is applied, to identify benefits and possible challenges in the application.
