Climate change has become a global challenge promoting developing countries to follow the Sustainable Development Goal-13 (climate action) and Pakistan is in the list of such countries adopting these policies. So, this research will explore the influence of climate related policies by United Nations on Pakistan’s socio-economic development. The analysis of such policies covers the timeframe from 2015-2025. A qualitative method of research is employed including policy experts’ interviews, policy document analysis, media sources and comparative analysis with similar developing countries. Preliminary assumptions indicates that poor intergovernmental coordination hindering the effective implementation of climate related policies at different governmental levels. The study aims to provide policy recommendations to strengthen the multi-level coordination and improve the implementation of future policies on climate change.
