The aim of this examination is to outline a psychoanalytic profile of autistic barriers, as observed in the psychoanalytic work with certain patients, by first retracing the diagnostic issues that have historically concerned them, demonstrating the necessity of a “multi-voiced dialogue” among professionals dealing with autistic patients. The discussion then turns to the main psychoanalytic contributions found in the literature (Tustin, Bick, Anzieu, Gaddini, Ogden etc.), which offer essential frameworks for navigating the psychoanalysis of autistic states, highlighting the significance of the pre-symbolic mourning process that the autistic condition implies, along with the crucial work of figurability (figurabilité, Botella & Botella, 2001) enacted en double through the analysis. In conclusion, some reflections are presented, based on a personal internship experience within a psychoeducational group for high-functioning autistic patients, in order to illustrate the relevance of a multiple and parallel setting – psychiatric consultation, psychotherapeutic intervention, and group-based psychoeducational programme, involved in the clinical-therapeutic engagement with these patients.

Abstract
In conclusion, some reflections are presented, based on a personal internship experience within a psychoeducational group for high-functioning autistic patients, in order to illustrate the relevance of a multiple and parallel setting – psychiatric consultation, psychotherapeutic intervention, and group-based psychoeducational programme, involved in the clinical-therapeutic engagement with these patients.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
