The thesis examines the spread and implementation of evaluation policies within the Third Sector, using the Italian Red Cross as a case study. It first outlines the innovations introduced in the Third Sector following the 2017 reform, then proceeds to analyse the role of evaluation in the context of public and non-profit policies, also presenting some of the most commonly used evaluation techniques. The chosen case study, the Italian Red Cross, is then introduced through a detailed examination of its historical, regulatory, organisational, and operational dimensions, followed by the presentation of the findings from the empirical research conducted. This research aims to explore the extent to which evaluation culture and practices are disseminated within the Association, both at the national level and among its local committees.

Abstract
The thesis examines the spread and implementation of evaluation policies within the Third Sector, using the Italian Red Cross as a case study. It first outlines the innovations introduced in the Third Sector following the 2017 reform, then proceeds to analyse the role of evaluation in the context of public and non-profit policies, also presenting some of the most commonly used evaluation techniques. The chosen case study, the Italian Red Cross, is then introduced through a detailed examination of its historical, regulatory, organisational, and operational dimensions, followed by the presentation of the findings from the empirical research conducted. This research aims to explore the extent to which evaluation culture and practices are disseminated within the Association, both at the national level and among its local committees.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
