This thesis analyses the phenomenon of caporalato in Italy, with particular attention to its economic and legal dimensions. Caporalato represents a form of labour exploitation which, although formally illegal, continues to persist and to adapt to changes in both the labour market and the existing regulatory framework. The study focuses on the economic dynamics that make it advantageous for businesses and intermediaries to maintain this system, as well as on the gaps and contradictions within the legal framework that enable its perpetuation. Through an interdisciplinary approach, the analysis aims at highlighting the main factors sustaining this exploitative mechanism. On the basis of these critical issues, the research identifies a number of strategies aimed at tackling and gradually dismantling caporalato. The objective of the thesis is therefore to provide a critical and systematic analysis of the phenomenon, one that not only describes its economic and legal roots, but also proposes concrete pathways to break the logic of exploitation and to restore dignity to labour.

Abstract
The objective of the thesis is therefore to provide a critical and systematic analysis of the phenomenon, one that not only describes its economic and legal roots, but also proposes concrete pathways to break the logic of exploitation and to restore dignity to labour.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
