The thesis studies how Filmcutter S.p.A. changed a regenerative thermal oxidation (RTO) plant with a solvent recovery system based on distillation in order to reduce the environmental impact and to promote a circular economy. The company performed the life cycle assessment (LCA) according to ISO 14067:2018. The study took into account carbon footprint and other environmental indicators for which energy and material balances were developed. The results point to a great reduction of carbon dioxide equivalents emissions that, along with recommendations for further measures, can invigorate the company’s sustainable development plan.

Abstract
The thesis studies how Filmcutter S.p.A. changed a regenerative thermal oxidation (RTO) plant with a solvent recovery system based on distillation in order to reduce the environmental impact and to promote a circular economy. The company performed the life cycle assessment (LCA) according to ISO 14067:2018. The study took into account carbon footprint and other environmental indicators for which energy and material balances were developed. The results point to a great reduction of carbon dioxide equivalents emissions that, along with recommendations for further measures, can invigorate the company’s sustainable development plan.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
