The current thesis is a hypothetical study about "Establishing a Glera vineyard and producing Prosecco-like Wine in India's Subcontinent." The climatic classifications and the EMBRAPA viticulture database are effectively used in this study to determine the viticulture class of the study locations and their suitability to produce "Prosecco-style" wine in India. The current research looks at the possibility of establishing a glera vineyard in the research area. Glera vineyard zoning based on Köppen Climate Classification and consideration of places with favourable climatic conditions for the grape. India is often defined as a “Tropical Country” and climatic classification particularly has played a crucial role in the study. The country lacks winemakers and modern winemaking technologies, “Charmat method” or “Tank Method” is quite complex and demands accurate knowledge and compassion. The Case studies of Australian prosecco and Casablanca a sparkling wine from India, have a greater impact on the present thesis. The Australian prosecco inspires the idea of producing Prosecco-like wine in India. Whereas, Casablanca is a young sparkling wine that presents an overview of sparkling wine in the Sub-continent. The Prosecco Regulations discussed further in the thesis function as limiting factors of the study. They play a crucial role in expanding the “Prosecco-like wine” production in a New wine world like that of India. There will be an impact of signing a Free Trade Agreement between Italy and India which are discussed further. The regulations and their impacts have been discussed in detail to develop comprehension. The present study on Prosecco does outside the “terroir”, instead referred to as “Prosecco-style wine”.

Abstract
The present study on Prosecco does outside the “terroir”, instead referred to as “Prosecco-style wine”.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
