The 1989 United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child set out education as a fundamental human right of children. Many educational, psychological and neurological research shows how prompt interventions carried out during the first stage of childhood have a good influence on the children development. Among those interventions are nursey and kindergarten, facilities designed for infants in the range within 0 and 6, that play a big role in the children growth and in preventing social inequality. The following dissertation, after taking into account both scientific evidence shown by a bibliographic analysis and a historic review of educational facilities addressing children between 0 and 6 years old in Italy, will compare five geographically different municipal school by taking into exam some specific areas: reflective functioning, innovation and research, organization and an inclusive environment
Nel 1989 veniva emanata la Convenzione dell’ONU sui Diritti dell’Infanzia e tra i diritti sanciti per tutti i bambini e le bambine vi è il diritto all’educazione. Molte ricerche in campo educativo, psicologico e neurologico riconoscono l’importanza dell’early childhood development, che possiamo tradurre come “interventi precoci per lo sviluppo del bambino”. All’interno di tali interventi rientrano i nidi e le scuole dell’infanzia, servizi educativi rivolti ai bambini e alle bambine da 0 ai 6 anni. Tali esperienze educative svolgono un importante fattore protettivo e preventivo delle disuguaglianze sociali nella crescita dei bambini e delle bambine. Nell’ambito della presente tesi, dopo un’analisi bibliografica delle evidenze scientifiche e dell’excursus storico dei servizi educativi 0-6 in Italia, si vuole svolgere un’analisi comparativa di cinque servizi comunali rivolti all’infanzia, differenti per area geografica. Verranno esaminate alcune aree specifiche: il pensiero riflessivo, gli aspetti di innovazione e ricerca, gli aspetti organizzativi e l'accessibilità ed inclusività
