This thesis analyses the logic of the Serenissima's expansion in the Venetian mainland during the Modern Age, in particular during the period of the Wars of Italy, fundamental events that represent a turning point in the territorial strategy of Venetian power. The study of the historical context makes it possible to identify the influence of the territorial and military policy of the Venetian Republic on the progress of the Venetian villas, which represent an element of control, prestige of the Venetian patriciate and a change in the rural landscape. The second part of the work involves a Public History project whose aim is to make the history of Venetian expansion and the role of the Venetian villas as an expression of noble power and the new organisation of the territory accessible to the public. Furthermore, the project proposes narrative and didactic tools, such as guided tours and themed itineraries, which enhance the historical-architectural asset according to a participative and popular dynamic.

Abstract
Furthermore, the project proposes narrative and didactic tools, such as guided tours and themed itineraries, which enhance the historical-architectural asset according to a participative and popular dynamic.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
