Anoressia nervosa e disturbo dell’alimentazione incontrollata nelle opere di Amélie Nothomb

This thesis, entitled “Anorexia Nervosa and Binge Eating Disorder in the Works of Amélie Nothomb”, first examines the main features of eating disorders, comparing them and situating them within a sociological framework. It then explores the role of writing for individuals affected by eating disorders, as well as the stylistic traits and lexical patterns associated with such conditions. Finally, the analysis focuses on three works by Amélie Nothomb—Biographie de la faim, Robert des noms propres, and Une forme de vie—with particular attention to the stylistic dimensions through which the author engages with these themes.

In questa tesi intitolata “Anoressia nervosa e disturbo dell’alimentazione incontrollata nelle opere di Amélie Nothomb” ci occuperemo di analizzare in primo luogo le caratteristiche dei disturbi alimentari, mettendoli a confronto e inserendoli in una prospettiva sociologica; successivamente si osserverà il ruolo della scrittura per i soggetti affetti da DCA, le caratteristiche stilistiche e del lessico dei disturbi alimentari; infine osserveremo tre opere dell’autrice Amélie Nothomb: Biographie de la faim, Robert des noms propres e Une forme de vie, soffermandoci sugli aspetti stilistici legati alle diverse tematiche trattate.
