This thesis explores the relationship between literature and testimony in the works of Edith Bruck, focusing on the ways in which the author transforms personal and collective suffering into narrative. Through an analysis of her autobiographical writings, novels, and essays, the study examines how Bruck’s literary voice intertwines memory, history, and the ethical imperative of bearing witness to the Holocaust. Particular attention is given to the tension between individual experience and universal meaning, and the role of literature as a vehicle for both personal expression and collective remembrance.
