The corpus of papyrus fragments of the novel Leucippe and Clitophon by Achilles Tatius is of great interest both for attempting to provide a more precise composition date of the work and for the study of its manuscript tradition. This thesis aims to offer a new palaeographic analysis of the surviving fragments of the II book in order to try to date them more accurately, and intends to collate their text with that of the main medieval manuscripts to better understand the textual transmission of the novel during the early centuries of its circulation.

Abstract
The corpus of papyrus fragments of the novel Leucippe and Clitophon by Achilles Tatius is of great interest both for attempting to provide a more precise composition date of the work and for the study of its manuscript tradition. This thesis aims to offer a new palaeographic analysis of the surviving fragments of the II book in order to try to date them more accurately, and intends to collate their text with that of the main medieval manuscripts to better understand the textual transmission of the novel during the early centuries of its circulation.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
