This paper aims to analyze some aspects of Michele Mari's works that concern the connection between reality and narration. The novels examined are mainly “La stiva e l’abisso”, “Tutto il ferro della torre Eiffel” and “Rosso Floyd”. The first chapter deals with theoretical issues including mimesis, the relationship between fiction and non-fiction with attention to biographical fictions and narration as a tool for investigating reality. The second one reports Michele Mari's biography, the relationship that critics have towards him and the recurring themes. The following chapters focus on the internal passages of the three novels to understand how the concepts of mimesis, biofiction and narration as investigation are configured in the works of the Milanese author.
L’elaborato intende analizzare alcuni aspetti delle opere di Michele Mari che riguardano il legame che intercorre fra realtà e narrazione. I romanzi presi in esame sono principalmente “La stiva e l’abisso”, “Tutto il ferro della torre Eiffel” e “Rosso Floyd”. Il primo capitolo si concentra sulle questioni teoriche che comprendono la mimesi, il rapporto fra fiction e non-fiction con enfasi sulle finzioni biografiche e la narrazione come strumento per indagare la realtà. Il secondo si occupa della biografia di Michele Mari, del rapporto che la critica ha nei suoi confronti e dei nuclei tematici ricorrenti. I capitoli successivi si focalizzano sui passaggi interni ai tre romanzi per comprendere come i concetti di mimesi, biofiction e narrazione come indagine si configurano nelle opere dell’autore milanese.
