San Manuel Bueno Mártir: Análisis de la traducción italiana de Marco Ottaiano

My thesis focuses on the study of literary texts, analyzing the key characteristics that define them, such as language, style, and content. Specifically, I explore the challenges a translator faces in transferring a literary work from one language to another, not only preserving the meaning but also maintaining the aesthetic and cultural nuances. In the second chapter, I focus on Miguel de Unamuno and his novel San Manuel Bueno, mártir, examining its themes, structure, and meaning. Finally, the last chapter offers a comparison between the original Spanish text and the Italian translation, analyzing the translator's linguistic and stylistic choices.

La mia tesi si concentra sullo studio del testo letterario, analizzando le sue caratteristiche principali che lo definiscono come tale, come la lingua, lo stile e il contenuto. In particolare, esploro le sfide che un traduttore deve affrontare nel trasferire un testo letterario da una lingua all'altra, non solo mantenendo il significato ma preservando anche le sfumature estetiche e culturali. Nel secondo capitolo, mi focalizzo su Miguel de Unamuno e il suo romanzo San Manuel Bueno, mártir, esplorandone tematiche, struttura e significato. Infine, l'ultimo capitolo propone una comparazione tra il testo originale spagnolo e la traduzione italiana, analizzando le scelte linguistiche e stilistiche del traduttore.
