Analisi geologica dei margini di Fecunditatis e Tranquillitatis su dati del sensore Janus/Juice

This thesis presents a morphological and structural analysis of the margins of the lunar maria Fecunditatis and Tranquillitatis, based on data from Janus, a camera mounted on the ESA-Juice mission, which performed a flyby of the moon during its journey to the Jovian system, Juice , acquiring high-resolution images with various color filters. The objective is to use this data to study the spatial distributions and distinctions between intrusive and effusive formations, as well as to identify and recognize any volcanic and tectonic structures. This study can lead to a better understanding of the evolution of the lunar environment and the role of volcanic phenomena in shaping it.

Questa tesi presenta un'analisi morfologica e strutturale dei margini dei mari lunari Fecunditatis e Tranquillitatis, basata sui dati di Janus, camera montata nella missione ESA-Juice che durante il suo percorso verso i sistema gioviano ha effettuato un fly-by della luna acquisendo immagini ad alta risoluzione e diversi filtri di colore. L'obbiettivo è studiare con questi dati le distribuzioni spaziali e le distinzioni tra le formazioni intrusive ed effusive, nonché individuare e riconoscere eventuali strutture vulcaniche e tettoniche. Questo studio può permettere di comprendere meglio l'evoluzione dell'ambiente lunare e il ruolo dei fenomeni vulcanici nel suo modellamento.
