This thesis describes the work carried out during an internship at the “Tullio Levi-Civita” Department of Mathematics, University of Padua. Procedures were developed for the exploration, ingestion, and analysis of data related to European air traffic and airspace configuration, made available by EUROCONTROL through the Aviation Data Repository for Research (ADRR). The internship initially involved an in-depth study of ADRR data formats and characteristics, with particular attention to airspace configurations, traffic demand, and air traffic control sector occupancy. Subsequently, a procedure was designed and implemented in Python to export these data into the format required by the mathematical models used to address the Dynamic Airspace Configuration problem, which is an active research topic within the same Department.
