The international dimension of higher education has become increasingly important in recent years, shaped by global trends and its strategic position within European agendas. This master's thesis explores how the Erasmus+ priorities - digitalization, inclusion and diversity, sustainability and climate action, and democratic participation - are reflected in the internationalization strategies of two European universities: the University of Padua (Italy) and the University of Würzburg (Germany). The study applies a qualitative methodology, combining content analysis of national policies and institutional strategic documents with semi-structured interviews conducted with key actors responsible for internationalization at both universities. This approach deepens the understanding of institutional change and strategic implementation processes. The comparative analysis highlights similarities and differences in how both institutions interpret European priorities and how they balance them with their respective national contexts. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of internationalization in higher education and offers recommendations for more effective alignment of policies and practices within the European Higher Education Area.

Abstract
This study contributes to a deeper understanding of internationalization in higher education and offers recommendations for more effective alignment of policies and practices within the European Higher Education Area.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
