La metamorfosi dell’Attore: la teatralità nel Cinema

This thesis aims to investigate some specific lines of influence of theatrical language on cinematic language, through a perspective focused on acting work. The analysis is divided into three sections: an overview that traces the main points of the intermingling between one language and another; a technical exploration that compares the different acting approaches required by the two artistic forms; and finally, emblematic case studies that allow us to concretely observe the transition of the actor's profession, as well as the work itself, between stage and screen. The central objective is to understand how the changing performance context, in terms of spaces, technologies, and modes of use, has substantially influenced the preparation, performance, and even the perception of acting, thus revealing the deep transformations in the actor's role and techniques.

Questa tesi si propone di indagare alcune, specifiche linee d'influenza del linguaggio teatrale in quello cinematografico, attraverso una prospettiva focalizzata sul lavoro attoriale. L'analisi si articola in tre sezioni: una panoramica che ripercorre i punti principali delle commistioni tra un linguaggio e l'altro; un approfondimento tecnico che confronta i diversi approcci recitativi richiesti dalle due forme artistiche; e infine dei casi di studio emblematici che consentono di osservare concretamente la transizione del mestiere dell’attore, oltre che dell'opera stessa, tra il palco e lo schermo. L’obiettivo centrale è comprendere come il cambiamento del contesto performativo, in termini di spazi, tecnologie e modalità di fruizione, abbia influenzato in modo sostanziale la preparazione, l’esecuzione e anche la percezione della recitazione, rivelando in questo modo le trasformazioni profonde nel ruolo e nelle tecniche dell’attore.
