Digital health is becoming an increasingly relevant resource to improve continuity of care and the monitoring of patients in the post-operative period. In cardiac surgery, tools such as telemedicine and mobile applications can support home-based follow-up, reduce outpatient visits, and promote treatment adherence, while also presenting critical issues related to acceptance, digital skills, and data privacy. This thesis is developed within the framework of the “Cure at Home” project, carried out at the University Hospital of Padua, aimed at supporting heart transplant recipients and patients with ventricular assist devices (VAD) through the Helthica app. To assess patients’ trust and willingness to adopt healthcare technologies, an anonymous questionnaire consisting of 30 questions was administered, collecting 93 responses, mainly from individuals older than 45 years. The results show a widespread availability of digital devices but a still limited use of health-related tools, with higher acceptance when the technology is integrated into clinical care and supervised by healthcare professionals.

Abstract
The results show a widespread availability of digital devices but a still limited use of health-related tools, with higher acceptance when the technology is integrated into clinical care and supervised by healthcare professionals.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
