Gli effetti della crisi del 2008 sul calcio

This thesis analyzes the impact of the 2008 crisis on the football industry, starting from the description of its origins and its effects on the real economy to its propagation to the football sector. Through Deloitte's reports and UEFA's documents and regulations, like Financial Fair Play (FFP) which later evolved into Financial Sustainability Regulations (FSR), the study demonstrates the evolution of this sport and its continued growth, but also the increasingly clear crystallization of the gaps between leagues caused by the economic instability post-2008. This work presents an analisy of the critical issues of the Italian context and the comparison between two emblematic case studies: Manchester City and Malaga CF.

Questo elaborato analizza l'impatto della crisi del 2008 sull'industria del calcio, partendo da una prima descrizione dell'evento e dei suoi effetti sull'economia reale per poi evidenziarne la propagazione al settore calcistico. Attraverso i report Deloitte e documenti e regolamenti UEFA, come il Financial Fair Play (FFP) evolutosi poi in Financial Sustainability Regulations (FSR), lo studio dimostra l'evoluzione di questo sport e la sua continua crescita, ma anche la sempre più chiara cristallizzazione dei divari tra campionati dovuta all'instabilità economica post-2008. Il lavoro presenta anche un'analisi del contesto italiano e il confronto tra due casi studio emblematici: Manchester City e Malaga CF.
