This report analyzes the cognitive aspects associated with the use of exoskeletons, with particular reference to occupational devices employed in work environments. After a preliminary theoretical overview of the main models related to physiological activation and the cognitive processes involved in task execution, the principal psychological theories developed to describe cognitive workload and the methods through which it can be measured are examined. The methodologies and tools most commonly used to assess these parameters are also presented, highlighting their practical and methodological foundations. Based on this theoretical framework, the study reviews recent experimental research concerning cognitive workload and cognitive embodiment processes in the use of occupational exoskeletons. Particular attention is given to the role of user experience, examining the relationship between familiarity with the device and the development of operational readiness and cognitive integration. The analyzed results suggest that the accumulation of experience promotes a progressive reduction in the attentional demand associated with the device and a greater focus on the primary task. These findings have relevant implications for the effective implementation of such technologies in occupational contexts and for future research directions.

Abstract
These findings have relevant implications for the effective implementation of such technologies in occupational contexts and for future research directions.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
