Microgrids are small-scale energy production and consumption networks involving both electrical and thermal energy, applicable to contexts such as residential districts, university campuses, or small industrial areas. They can operate autonomously or in a partially autonomous manner and manage energy flows in an intelligent and synergistic way, with the aim of minimizing energy waste, optimizing consumption, and maximizing the integration of renewable energy sources. This thesis analyzes a real-world case study in order to highlight the strengths and weaknesses of such systems and to assess their potential in supporting the energy transition.

Abstract
Microgrids are small-scale energy production and consumption networks involving both electrical and thermal energy, applicable to contexts such as residential districts, university campuses, or small industrial areas. They can operate autonomously or in a partially autonomous manner and manage energy flows in an intelligent and synergistic way, with the aim of minimizing energy waste, optimizing consumption, and maximizing the integration of renewable energy sources. This thesis analyzes a real-world case study in order to highlight the strengths and weaknesses of such systems and to assess their potential in supporting the energy transition.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
