This thesis explores the role of school and family in environmental sustainability education in primary school, comparing educational practices, perceptions, and attitudes within the two main contexts of children’s growth. The study is framed within Education for Sustainable Development and the 2030 Agenda, with a focus on the educational relationship between school and family. The empirical research is based on two questionnaires addressed to teachers and parents, mainly administered in some cities in the Veneto region. The data were analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The analysis shows a general awareness of sustainability issues, together with different ways of understanding and addressing these themes in the school and family contexts. Based on the results, the thesis proposes an educational activity for primary school aimed at supporting dialogue between school and family through experiential learning. The proposal offers practical ideas to help children begin to reflect in a more aware way on environmental sustainability.
