The purpose of this paper is to analyze and examine the most appropriate nutritional strategies to enhance performance in High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), with particular focus on Hyrox and CrossFit as representative models of this discipline. This work aims to investigate the physiological and metabolic characteristics of HIIT, highlighting its energy demands and the primary pathways of energy production involved. Furthermore, the utilization of different energy substrates (carbohydrates, fats, and proteins) and their specific contribution to exercise performance will be examined. Targeted nutritional strategies will also be analyzed, considering both macronutrient distribution and supplementation protocols, with particular emphasis on hydration strategies. Finally, the paper will provide practical recommendations, grounded in current scientific evidence, aimed at optimizing performance in HIIT-based disciplines. In summary, this study seeks to establish a comprehensive framework that, through an understanding of the metabolic and physiological demands of HIIT, identifies the most appropriate nutritional approaches to improve performance.

Abstract
In summary, this study seeks to establish a comprehensive framework that, through an understanding of the metabolic and physiological demands of HIIT, identifies the most appropriate nutritional approaches to improve performance.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
