La camminata come pratica artistica nell'opera di Richard Long

This thesis delves into the work of Richard Long, an English artist active from the mid-1960s to the present day. Land art as an artistic movement is examined, with its different developments in America and in Europe. This thesis aims to explore the evolution of walking as an artistic act, beginning with the avant-garde movements of the twentieth century. In particular, the thesis seeks to examine how this art form manifests itself in the work of Richard Long.

L'elaborato approfondisce l'opera di Richard Long, artista inglese attivo dalla metà degli anni Sessanta fino ai giorni nostri. Viene esaminata la Land Art come corrente artistica, con i suoi differenti sviluppi tra Nuovo e Vecchio continente. La tesi vuole esplorare l'evoluzione della camminata come azione artistica, a partire dalle Avanguardie del Novecento. L'elaborato vuole indagare in particolare la declinazione che questa forma d'arte assume nella produzione di Richard Long.
