Chi è Pom Pom? La letteratura per l'infanzia ungherese in Italia attraverso le storie di István Csukás.

This thesis aims to offer an insight into a field that is still relatively unexplored in academia: children's literature, with a particular focus on Hungarian literature, a sector that is even less covered in Italy. The thesis presents a proposal for the Italian translation of the story "Pom Pom meséi. Szegény Gombóc Artúr" (Le storie di Pom Pom. Il povero Arturo Pralino), written by István Csukás and illustrated by Ferenc Sajdik. István Csukás, a prominent figure in Hungarian children's literature, is still unknown in the Italian publishing world and, to date, none of his works have been published in translation. In addition to the translation proposal, the thesis focuses on the analysis of the translation process, with particuar attention to the linguistic and cultural difficulties encontered in working on the text.

La presente tesi si propone di offrire uno sguardo su un ambito ancora poco esplorato in campo accademico: la letteratura per l'infanzia, con focus particolare su quella ungherese, un settore ancor meno trattato in Italia. L'elaborato presenta una proposta di traduzione del racconto "Pom Pom meséi. Szegény Gombóc Artúr" (Le storie di Pom Pom. Il povero Arturo Pralino), scritto da István Csukás e illustrato da Ferenc Sajdik. István Csukás, figura di rilievo della letteratura per l'infanzia ungherese, è tuttavia ancora sconosciuto nel panorama editoriale italiano e, ad oggi, nessuna delle sue opere risulta pubblicata in traduzione. Oltre alla proposta di traduzione, la tesi si concentra sull'analisi del processo traduttivo, con particolare attenzione alle difficoltà linguistiche e culturali nel lavoro sul testo.
