This thesis situates itself within the philosophical and cultural debate on the so-called "metacrisis" of contemporaneity, investigating what philosophy can say about the present world. From this perspective, the work first addresses the problem of defining postmodernism, highlighting its main theoretical features and its crisis as an interpretative paradigm of reality. It then introduces the concept of "metamodernism" as a possible emerging paradigm, presenting its key authors and analysing its fundamental theoretical coordinates. The thesis also focuses on concrete examples of cultural, artistic, and theoretical production that can be traced back to a metamodern sensibility, in order to show how this paradigm already finds expression in contemporary cultural practices. In the concluding section, the thesis offers a synthesis of the different perspectives examined, arguing that metamodernism, despite its limits and its still-developing nature, may constitute a theoretically fruitful and pragmatically oriented response to the crises of contemporaneity, offering a possible way beyond the postmodern impasse.

Abstract
In the concluding section, the thesis offers a synthesis of the different perspectives examined, arguing that metamodernism, despite its limits and its still-developing nature, may constitute a theoretically fruitful and pragmatically oriented response to the crises of contemporaneity, offering a possible way beyond the postmodern impasse.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
