This paper examines the relationship between Generation Z and music. The qualitative study aims to investigate the role that music plays in the lives of Gen Z individuals, with particular attention to the impact of digital technologies on listening and consumption musical practices. Special emphasis is placed on the educational dimension, in relation to the role of music education in shaping young people’s relationship with music, as well as in the formation of the individual from a social, psychological, and identity-related perspective.
L’elaborato analizza il rapporto tra la Generazione Z e la musica. Lo studio, di natura qualitativa, si propone di indagare il ruolo che la musica riveste nella vita dei Gen Z, soffermandosi sull’impatto del digitale sulle pratiche di ascolto e di consumo musicale. Particolare attenzione è inoltre dedicata alla dimensione educativa, con riferimento al ruolo dell’educazione musicale nella costruzione del rapporto tra i giovani e la musica e nella formazione della persona dal punto di vista sociale, psicologico e identitario.
