The role of drama in the teaching of dialogue interpreting

The present work sheds light on the effective power of drama techniques in the teaching of dialogue interpreting. For the purpose of this study, the act of interpreting with its history and its modes is first of all introduced. Then, follow a careful selection and an in-depth analysis of what could be considered the essential interpreting skills. The third chapter highlights the pivotal role played by drama in the acquisition of the interpreting skills. To conclude, the final part of the present work, instead, provides evidence on the implementation of dialogue interpreting classes with drama-based activities.
