The WHO defines mental health as "a state of well-being in which each individual realizes his or her potential, is able to cope with the normal stresses of life, work productively and fruitfully, and contribute to the community." The role of mental health in overall well-being is fundamental. Regular moderate-intensity physical activity provides significant health benefits. These benefits can be both physical and mental. The aim of the study is to analyze whether non-contact amateur boxing can be a tool for emotional regulation, stress management, and a means of improving self-perception in the context of mental health. An amateur boxing program is therefore proposed, consisting of ten weekly sessions, each lasting an hour and a half. Each session requires participants to arrive independently at the gym, change clothes in the locker room, and then spend one hour of amateur boxing activity and a closing session. The activity is conducted within a certified boxing gym and led by a certified boxing coach and supervised by the TeRPs. A series of quantitative data were used for the assessment, including scores on self-assessment scales, such as DERS, PSS, and a self-assessment questionnaire, designed by the participants. Quantitative data are collected for the assessment, based on scores on self-assessment scales, such as DERS, PSS, and a self-assessment questionnaire, designed by the participants. The rating scales are administered at the beginning of the first session (T0) and at the end of the tenth session (T1), so as to objectively and quantitatively measure the results of the proposed activity. The results and observations show that amateur boxing, integrated into a structured rehabilitation program, can provide benefits in terms of emotional regulation, stress management, and self-perception.
