During the internship at Halue S.r.l. (approximately 300 hours) I took part in the development of a prototype conversational interface for an e-commerce website in the skincare sector, with the aim of improving product discovery, customer support, and the overall personalization of the customer experience. The work included the analysis of functional and non-functional requirements, the architectural design of an agent-based system, and the implementation of connectors to external platforms (Shopify and Sanity). A proof-of-concept was developed that integrates chat functionality, function calling, chaining, multi-agent orchestration, token streaming, and logging for monitoring interactions and performance. End-to-end tests carried out on representative scenarios confirmed the feasibility of the approach. The prototype responds correctly to requests, providing contextualized answers. Critical issues and possible optimizations were also identified, including reducing latency and improving the interface’s rendering times, to be addressed in subsequent development phases.
Durante lo stage svolto presso Halue S.r.l. (circa 300 ore) ho partecipato allo sviluppo di un prototipo di interfaccia conversazionale per un sito e-commerce nel settore skincare, con l’obiettivo di migliorare la discovery dei prodotti, l’assistenza clienti e la personalizzazione della customer experience in generale. Il lavoro ha compreso l’analisi dei requisiti funzionali e non funzionali, la progettazione architetturale di un sistema agentico e l’implementazione di connettori verso piattaforme esterne (Shopify e Sanity). È stato realizzato un proof-of-concept che integra funzionalità di chat, function calling, chaining, multi-agente, token streaming e logging per il monitoraggio delle interazioni e delle performance. I test end-to-end condotti su scenari rappresentativi hanno confermato la fattibilità dell’approccio. Il prototipo risponde correttamente a richieste, fornendo risposte contestualizzate. Sono state inoltre individuate criticità e possibili ottimizzazioni, tra cui la riduzione della latenza e il perfezionamento dei tempi di rendering dell’interfaccia, da sviluppare in fasi successive.
