This thesis explores how political modernity has not eliminated the sacred from politics, but has transformed its forms by transferring its fundamental structures into the political sphere through the construction of the enemy and the logic of sacrifice. Analyzing the thought of Schmitt, Arendt, Bauman, Neumann, and Forti, Nazism is considered an extreme case of this dynamic. The work analyzes the Holocaust as an extreme radicalization of a sacrificial logic, stripped of ritual logic while maintaining its structure. It also explores the construction of Jews as absolute enemies or superfluous men, and all that follows from this, namely the transformation of political violence into a historical necessity. Through a reflection on "mediocre demons," the dissertation aims to demonstrate that political religions do not simply constitute an ideological form of power, but function primarily as secular theologies.

Abstract
Through a reflection on "mediocre demons," the dissertation aims to demonstrate that political religions do not simply constitute an ideological form of power, but function primarily as secular theologies.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
