POTERE E REGIME: UN TOTALITARISMO IMPERFETTO

Throughout history, human beings have always lived with the idea that the use of power could be the best means of reference for surviving within any community. The use of a generic form of power consists of a real social guarantee, as it allows order and stability. While in ancient times the idea of ​​power was still vague and lacking a solid structure, throughout contemporary history, man begins to have more awareness regarding the importance of the latter. The citizen of the contemporary age shows a notable interest in power, as he is aware of the fact that between himself and the latter there is a strong social bond on which the existence, as well as the continuation of society, is based. The use of a fair power is the basis for achieving social well-being, through a fair and well-structured division of powers, accompanied by constraints to be respected to avoid the so-called excess of power. What has hindered the investigation of the subject has been precisely the presence of negative aspects. Very often the contemporary citizen has not been able to promote a balanced form of power. A striking example is certainly the lack of trust in democracy, which has led to a fracture in what was the stability of society. This phenomenon has allowed various extreme forms of power to achieve considerable fame and admiration. In the period from the 30s to the 40s of 1900, this negative tendency is in fact shown, with the advent of totalitarian regimes capable of injuring and infecting a healthy and evolving social system. The most suitable example is that of the fascist regime, which in addition to having imposed a falsified vision of society, has also given shape to a new concept of power. The purpose of the thesis consists precisely in the investigation of these two terms, fascism and power, which are linked to each other. Fascism cannot exist without power and, fortunately, power can exist without fascism.Fascism is capable of giving rise to an interpretative problem that seems to be, from a historiographical point of view, still current. The investigation into the theme of fascism, associated with that of power, will be full of notions, interpretations by scholars, investigations and above all debates.

Nel corso della storia, l'essere umano ha sempre convissuto con quella concezione per cui l'uso del potere potesse essere il miglior mezzo di riferimento per sopravvivere all'interno di una qualsiasi comunità. L'uso di una forma di potere generica consiste in una vera e propria garanzia sociale, in quanto permette ordine e stabilità. Mentre nell'antichità l'idea di potere era ancora vaga e priva di una struttura salda, nel corso di tutta la storia contemporanea, l'uomo inizia ad avere ad avere più consapevolezza riguardo alla ragguardevolezza di quest'ultimo. Il cittadino dell'età contemporanea mostra infatti un notevole interesse per il potere, in quanto consapevole del fatto che tra egli stesso e quest'ultimo vi è un forte legame sociale su cui si fonda l'esistenza, nonché il proseguimento della societá. L'uso di un potere giusto è la base per il raggiungimento del benessere sociale, attraverso una divisione dei poteri equa e ben strutturata, accompagnata da dei vincoli da rispettare per evitare il cosiddetto eccesso di potere. Quel che ha ostacolato l'indagine sull'argomento è stata proprio la presenza di aspetti negativi. Molto spesso il cittadino contemporaneo non è stato in grado di promuovere una forma di potere equilibrata. Un esempio eclatante è senz'altro la mancata fiducia della democrazia, che ha comportato una frattura di quella che era la stabilità della società. Questo fenomeno ha permesso a varie forme di potere estreme di giungere ad una notevole fama ed ammirazione. Nel periodo dagli anni 30' ai 40' del 1900, viene infatti mostrata questa tendenza negativa, con l'avvento di regimi totalitari in grado di ferire e contagiare un sistema sociale sano e in evoluzione. L'esempio più idoneo è quello del regime fascista, che oltre ad avere imposto una visione della società falsata, ha anche dato forma ad una nuova concezione di potere. Lo scopo della tesi consiste proprio nell'indagine di questi due termini, fascismo e potere, che sono tra loro collegati. Il fascismo non può esistere senza il potere e fortunatamente, il potere può esistere anche senza il fascismo.​​ Il fascismo è in grado di dare origine ad un problema interpretativo che pare essere, dal punto di vista storiografico, ancora attuale. L'indagine sul tema fascismo, associato a quello del potere, sarà pieno di nozioni, interpretazioni da parte di studiosi, indagini e soprattutto dibattiti.
