This paper analyzes memory as a reconstructive process vulnerable to the formation of false memories. The first chapter explores the DRM and disinformation paradigms through Fuzzy-Trace Theory and Yerkes-Dodson's law of arousal. Subsequently, the influenxe of valence and arousal is examined, highlighting how Emotional Memory Narrowing focuses attention on the central details of the event, making peripheral details more susceptible to suggestion. Finally, the thesis investigates False Memory Syndrome and the evolution of the concept of trauma, concluding with an analysis of how personality traits such as extraversion, dissociation, anxiety, and psychopathy act as vulnerability or protective factors in memory distortions.

Abstract
This paper analyzes memory as a reconstructive process vulnerable to the formation of false memories. The first chapter explores the DRM and disinformation paradigms through Fuzzy-Trace Theory and Yerkes-Dodson's law of arousal. Subsequently, the influenxe of valence and arousal is examined, highlighting how Emotional Memory Narrowing focuses attention on the central details of the event, making peripheral details more susceptible to suggestion. Finally, the thesis investigates False Memory Syndrome and the evolution of the concept of trauma, concluding with an analysis of how personality traits such as extraversion, dissociation, anxiety, and psychopathy act as vulnerability or protective factors in memory distortions.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
