Time perception is known to be influenced by internal cognitive systems, but also by social and perceptual cues. This study examined how biological motion affects subjective time perception. Participants completed a prospective time bisection task in which they judged the duration of the PLDs of scrambled human movementsas closer to previously learned short or long intervals. We investigated whether motion direction influenced the participants’s judgments of duration in line with STEARC. Results showed that forwards-facing motion led to an underestimation of duration, while no significant effects emerged for lateral motion or for STEARC congruency. These findings suggest that socially meaningful motion cues can influence subjective time perception, highlighting the interaction between temporal processing and social perception.
