This thesis aims to analyze the phenomenon of dependent self-employment work under the co.co.co. The investigation of typology involves examining its numerical extension, employment characteristics, and the factors that determine its use by companies. To measure job insecurity, an approach will be taken by integrating administrative sources (INPS, tax declarations), sample surveys (ISTAT), and economic literature. The empirical analysis will first be accompanied by a review of the legislation and case law that have shaped the role of dependent self-employment workers, in order to understand how legal constraints and institutional incentives influence companies' contractual choices. According to the literature, companies employ co.co.co. contracts to achieve organizational flexibility, cost containment, and peak production management, which will be validated through sectoral data. It's crucial to examine if this widespread diffusion is due to technical work characteristics or institutional constraints. At the same time, the professional paths of co.co.co. workers will be studied, evaluating the likelihood of transitioning to stable subordinate relationships, the presence of “trap” careers, and the implications for social protection and income. Based on empirical results and comparing it to the literature, the thesis will discuss whether the co.co.co. form is destined to disappear, transform into new contractual typologies or persist in specific market sectors.

Abstract
Based on empirical results and comparing it to the literature, the thesis will discuss whether the co.co.co. form is destined to disappear, transform into new contractual typologies or persist in specific market sectors.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
