DADietro lo schermo: la Scuola Primaria ai tempi del COVID-19 raccontata dai bambini

In March 2020, at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, everything changed: schools closed, children and teenagers were forced to stay at home and to have their lessons from their bedrooms, where they sat in front of a computer and interacted with classmates and teachers throughout a digital screen. As a consequence, the common school imaginary has changed and has become what everyone defines as Distance Learning (DaD) or Integrated Digital Education (DDI). The aim of this work is to explain through the research "BEHIND the screen" the situation and the big change in Primary School that the advent of the pandemic has been causing and to compare three important dimensions for school development - learning, emotions and relationships between peers- before and during COVID-19, trying to outline limits and strengths. This paper will also focus on the theme of inclusion and how this aspect has been put in "crisis" with the numerous changes that school has undergone.

Nel marzo 2020, con l’inizio della pandemia da COVID-19, tutto cambia: le scuole chiudono, le bambine ed i bambini, le ragazze ed i ragazzi sono costretti a stare a casa, a fare scuola dalle loro camerette, seduti davanti ad un computer ed a relazionarsi con i loro compagni e con le loro maestre da dietro uno schermo. Cambia, dunque, anche l’immaginario comune di scuola che diventa quello definito da tutti come Didattica a Distanza (DaD) o Didattica Digitale Integrata (DDI). Lo scopo di tale lavoro è quello di raccontare, tramite la ricerca “DADietro lo schermo”, la situazione ed il cambiamento della Scuola Primaria con l’avvento della pandemia e confrontare tre importanti dimensioni per lo sviluppo scolastico (apprendimento, emozioni e relazioni tra pari) prima e durante il COVID-19, tentando di delineare limiti e punti di forza. Ci si focalizzerà anche sul tema dell’inclusione e di come questo aspetto sia stato messo in “crisi” con le variazioni che la scuola ha dovuto subire.
