The following thesis presents the collaboration between IQT Consulting S.p.a and the University of Padua, born with the aim of enriching and supporting the scientific literature on the relationship between professional call and job performance. In order to achieve this goal, we analyzed the scientific literature of reference, focusing first on the concept of job call, its evolution over the years and the resulting outcomes. Second, the concept of job performance was analyzed, and the different types of performance and its major predictors were presented. Within this framework, we then perimeter what the scientific literature reports on the relationship between job call and job performance. In light of the studies conducted, we conducted empirical research based on the following hypotheses: (1) job call correlates positively with job performance; (2) conscientiousness is the most predictive trait of job performance; (3) learning goal orientation is the most predictive trait of job performance. IQT employees participated in this research and were asked for their input by filling out a survey that consisted of a set of questions related to job call and several predictors of performance, including: intelligence, goal orientation, personality, and moral integrity. The results obtained allowed us to reach several conclusions that are reported in the presented paper.
