The former railroad "Treviso-Ostiglia" from abandoned infrastructure has become a cycle-path that nowadays crosses two regions, five provinces and twenty-five municipalities, to the point that it has earned the nickname of "Diagonale Verde" (the "Green Diagonal"). However, although used every day by athletes and cyclo-tourists, this cycle-path is still not used for daily movements and commuting; its real potential is not truly seen by the inhabitants of the territories it crosses mainly due to the lack of services and safe connections to join it. In essence, this cycle-path is affected by the lack of connection to the ordinary road-grid for short and medium-range movements in this territory. This dissertation, by analysing the characteristics of this cycle-path and the territories it crosses, has the objective of discovering its potential and turning it from a cycle-path used mainly for touristic and recreational purposes into a strategic connection axis, thus also encouraging the local development of the ten municipalities of the territory of Camposampiero. In this project, the axis "Treviso-Ostiglia" becomes the main-road (the "Decumano") of a grid of low-velocity mobility capable of taking advantage of municipal and river paths, with the purpose of proposing an alternative way of moving which is more sustainable and safer and with more services.

Abstract
In this project, the axis "Treviso-Ostiglia" becomes the main-road (the "Decumano") of a grid of low-velocity mobility capable of taking advantage of municipal and river paths, with the purpose of proposing an alternative way of moving which is more sustainable and safer and with more services.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
