This work stems from an interest in how "school anxiety" is constructed and addressed within the school context, starting from the perspective of those who experience it daily: teachers. The theoretical framework adopted for this research is Symbolic Interactionism and Social Constructionism, according to which psychological phenomena take shape through interactions, shared meanings, and situated practices. In this sense, "school anxiety" is not assumed to be an objective and stable reality, but rather something that emerges and is defined in educational relationships — and beyond. The aim of the research is to understand how secondary school teachers respond to situations they perceive as anxiety in their students, the difficulties they perceive in dealing with these situations, the strategies implemented by the school institution, and the needs for change. To do so, a qualitative approach was chosen; interviewed secondary school teachers from the province of Treviso, recruited through a network of contacts between different institutions. The analysis of the collected texts aims to convey the complexity of the teachers' experiences, with the aim of offering a more situated and nuanced interpretation of a phenomenon that literature still tends to treat as a given, neglecting the active role of those who contribute to shaping it every day.

Abstract
The analysis of the collected texts aims to convey the complexity of the teachers' experiences, with the aim of offering a more situated and nuanced interpretation of a phenomenon that literature still tends to treat as a given, neglecting the active role of those who contribute to shaping it every day.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
